Training fear reactive German shorthair pointer

Training session with fear reactive GSP. This was taken towards the end of her first week stay with us. We ended up going to a new location than the one she has been working in to start generalizing the skills she had learned so far. What I’m looking for is her to start engaging her nose vs her eyes. When a dog is reactive, generally it means they are using their eyes vs other senses. So what we’re doing is tossing kibble on the floor and encouraging her to use her nose. Other dogs are outside the window next to the area we are at, which is the challenge we wanted to apply. This is exactly where we needed to be after her first week with us. There’s still plenty of work left to do but we have to teach the skill set first before we move on.
